I was thinking of doing the 2.5k to see what it's all about. We run about 4k three times a week but it takes us 35 - 40minutes so not very fast!

Yes OH says that's a good idea doing the 2.5k first to try it,
he keeps harping at me to do the 2.5 with our other Border but i'm not any good at running at all....i'll just take the photos.

I'm thinking of maybe doing the 5k now. Not sure. I'm doing 4k anyway...hmmm. Maybe if I start at the back I wont hold anyone up! ha ha!
Where did your other half get his line from? I'm a bit confused as to which one to get - I dont want to spend a fortune but i'm worried about the metal snap thing that's not allowed?!!

You'll be fine honest there's many different levels run some will walk bits of it.

In his first race to try it out ours ran with normal collar & long training lead which was from Pets At Home,
since they enjoyed it at the next race we got the dog fitted with a proper CaniX harness which is brilliant....he still uses the long lead with it...he just attaches it around his waist & it's fine,
he's after a belt & bungee line next but doesn't want the CaniX belt as it's pretty expensive & not really needed for a small dog...a cheaper one will be fine.

Unfortunately won't be at CaniXs for a few months - due to (the human) runner recovering from bike accident.

There's a lot of Border Terriers (or crosses) that do it - ours is a BT X PJRT and he loves it. You can say the word Cani to him and he runs to the front door
