Pancakes...

Any favourites?

Maybe simply lemon or orange ( not sure I have lemons,,)and sugar..Or JAM of which I have a large selection,, blackberry is good,,

When we had pancakes when I was a child, poor mother would be in the kitchen and we would queue up for the next one.. and the next.. and the next... not sure if she ever had one herself as we were insatiable..

Such a simple basic food; surely Tang could make these as you stand at the stove..you can even get the batter ready made in bottles!

Off for coffee and to make the batter..They say it is better if you let it stand a while.

Is it Pancake Day? My kids usually remind me! Used to make stacks when they were at home.

I will treat myself to one. Lemons are never in short supply - I can walk outside and pick one from anywhere along the road!

Haven't paid for a lemon or an orange since moving to Cyprus. Get given too many and feel a bit guilty when sometimes using lemons to just wipe round the sink or make stuff smell nice!

The 'pancake' component will be perfect. Because I have a ready made stack of them (thin crepes) in a seal bag in the fridge. Bought them in a shop!

I like mine best with just lemon and sugar but have got maple syrup and like them with maple syrup and ice cream too but no ice cream at the mo.

Oh my word, I made my mixture yesterday so it could rest in the fridge. it was lovely and I enjoyed two this afternoon and Steve had three. I am afraid I ditched the rest of the liquid as I had run out of lemons and we were full anyway. Enjoy yours.
