"Maxi-sized dogs are typically faithful and affectionate, making ideal pets."

I know this is off topic, but my God - talk about gimmicky!

My Dobermanns were fed on Maxi it's suitable for all similar size dogs for exampleAfghan Hound, Borzoi, Greyhound, English Pointer, German Short Haired Pointer, Weimaraner, Clumber Spaniel, Old English Sheep Dog, Belgian Shepherd, Doberman, Giant Schnauzer
A Mastiff would be fed on Giant.

It goes on expected adult weight. You have mini, medium, maxi and giant (they couldn't think of anything beginning with 'm' )

If you go on breed standard of the dog you should be able to tell which category your dog falls into.

Eddy's 23kg and Takara's 25-27kg (fluctuating) so I would be most likely to feed both of them medium even though T should be in the maxi although maxi has joint stuff in that medium doesn't so may well consider putting her on that.

However - they were both poorly when fed RC medium so I will be sticking to Burns!

The Malamute breed standard states:

Size
Height: dogs: 64-71 cms (25-28 ins); bitches: 58-66 cms (23-26 ins).
Weight between 38-56 kgs (85-125 lbs), size consideration not to outweigh type.

which food would a mal owner feed?

This is when I call my rep and ask him I may leave it til next week though if that's ok? I always seem to call on his day off!

Edit: I had the choice of medium or maxi for Takara and if I were to feed it her (I won't as it caused a skin complaint when I tried it!) I would feed maxi because of the extra supplements for her joints although most people would go for medium as it's closer to her weight range and cheaper.

I think to an extent, if you knew enough about nutrition you could just scrutinise (sp?) the ingredients and choose for yourself depending on the nutritional levels of things and see what you prefer.

I suppose other factors may include the price - the giant is more pricey than the maxi and the maxi is more pricey than the medium etc.
