First Ride in a LONG Time (Pics)

Well, i thought it had been a couple of months since i rode Charlie, but it turns out i havent ridden him since i did a Hunter Trial on him last October Shameful He was really good though, no bucking or silliness, we did have a little jogging at first but i let him gallop for a good 1/2 mile and that sorted him out. He's such a little star.

Excuse the state of him in these pictures. Hairy Horse + 24 hour Turnout + V muddy field + no rug = Charlie in the pictures!lol i spent about an hour grooming him (i shoulda got a before and after lol) but just concentrated mostly on where the tack was going so he is a bit muddy still! He's going to need a bath when the weather warms up a bit, he's so muddy and dusty lol

Anyway, here is he! Excuse the bit also, was too lazy to change it lol

Oh, and here is my lovely ancient, but SO comfy little saddle that got EATEN by the puppies

Anyway, here we are setting off on the road outside our house...

A quick gallop through the fields led us over the motorway bridge

Then another couple of fields..

and we met this very handsome young man who i adore!!

Check out the speed limit! Go Charlie Go!!lol

This is our "old ride". That used to be a fantastic bridle path to gallop across, through about 4 fields... They have no built houses on it!!! Looks awful if you ask me, no wonder Tewkesbury is flooded, idiots!

Rant over And we were onto another motorway bridge (Charlie loves these!! He sometimes just stands staring at all the cars and lorries lol)

Back down the bridge

And along my friends bridlepath towards home. See the fence on the right, me and my friend used to jump that instead of going through the gate when we were young and so much braver lol! me and Charlie opted for the gate *laughs out loud* But we DID jump the tiny little home made jump you can just make out the otherside of the fence

And here's a happy pony back home!

And an even happier pony to see his una!! I had to put her in the stable as she would have escaped from the field, she hates Charlie leaving. She pretended to be really upset with him gone (lots of neighing and snorting when he came back) but i gave her 3 big chunks of hay and it was all gone, and we were only out for about 40 mins!lol

Rolling pony pictures...

1st roll

2nd roll

3rd oll (on Una's hay!!)

Any volunteers to do grooming number two??lol

And a sweet one of my Una Balloona

Jackie!

She's welcome to come back and ride him anytime she wants, especially if she is willing to groom him first

Lovely photos. I also have teeth marks in my saddle and riding hat!!!

I also haven't ridden my horse out on a hack since September. I have been riding regularly but only on the land and schooling area where I keep her on llivery. Looks like you had a great time.

aww lovely pics, I'm so jealous, I miss riding

I used to love the grooming as much as the riding, seeing the before and after, if I was close enough, I would happily volunteer
