I dont mind doing it if someone can provide all the names ...
If you post pics of the clumber you could add that it has had its eyes tested by a specialist and passed. The Peke also passed a vet check. Will be very interesting to see how this develops. It's a shame that many of our overseas visitors will be put off of bringing their dogs over here.

I would post a photo but there is a copywrite notice on the page I was looking at, and as it has a forum, I can't post the direct link.

You're probably right, Mave is supposed to be a very good example of the breed, but she is exagerated as she's so long!!! have to say i thought i'd broke her after that romp round the woods with the springers

Can you link to that please----maybe they have posted the report? as I certainly would have done under the circumstances.

If not I am afraid the owner is not really credible having lied on film about the reasons for the removal.

I've wondered about this and, if it is true, I wonder if the dogs passed taking into consideration their breed? Would a vet, for example, see a Clumber differently to a Collie for example and regard the eyes as OK for one breed, but not for the other??

Just musing

That is exactly what the clumber woman was saying
But imo the vet shouldnt - if having saggy eyes is unhealthy then it is unhealthy for ALL dogs
it different to coat colour, ear set, size whatever - you can have differences without them being unhealthy

the vet should simply be looking at a dog and if what he is seeing will limit the dogs healthy enjoyment of life

dog loving breeders should not have to be told this

But, if vets are looking at dogs differently because of breed and certifying healthy when, clearly, they are not, should they also be dragged over the coals?

OK I am sorry you never specificly said you were defending the dogs
But the way you are trying to discredit the vets and things like that make it sound like you are defending the dogs

So can I ask so there is no confusion

Can you see anything wrong with the dogs I posted the photographs of?
Do you think it needs an eye expert to see saggy eyelids?
Do you think these dogs are healthy examples of the breed and should have been given their place in the ring?
