I know someone who is Hungarian and his name is Zoltan . He gets called Zoli which I think is lovely .

Thank you to everyone. There are some brilliant suggestions. It going to be a tough decision. I particularly like the names that refer to it's Hungarian origins. I also like names that relate to the Vizslas brown/ red coat and it's speed. While not particularly original, I am drawn to the name Harley, after the motorcycle company, so reflecting speed, plus with the Vizsla being a very friendly brown coloured dog, it just seems a good fit. What do you think of Harley?

I think that's a great name...something to keep in mind when choosing a name...you're going to be using it for the rest of your dog's life. A name like Harley is easy to call, a name like Vesuvius not so much...

Can I please ask what your thoughts are of the name Oakley, which is part the village we live in. Also, as it's a wood related name, it would match the beautiful brown coat of a Vizsla.
