The Walkezee and Gentle Leader harness are both good ones for stopping pulling

Gentle leader...that's a good name for something that is going to restrict your dogs movement...sorry but I don't agree with those things take the dogs to classes and train them not to pull

whilst in principal this is a good idea and we would all like to be able to do it - i couldnt go to classes as Bruno is a dog aggressive staffie and NO one would take him in a class...

he gets walked on a walkezee and its been a godsend as it doesnt restrict his movement just means he cant pull against it - if he wears it offlead he can still run etc like every other dog.

woudl defo recommend the walkezee as they can be made to measure your dogs exact requirements - i got padding added to mine as bruno doesnt have much fur so if bella is similar i would recommend the padding too

i use the rac dog harness and it works great fro me, my mum has a saint burnard and when he wants to pull he will take you of your feet but he does not pull in that one and the added extra is it has the setbelt bit as well so they are safe in the car. they do all sizes.

hope that helps.

My point exactly, dog classes would have socialised him and not only would he be friendly with other dogs...he would not pull either...the only dogs without an excuse are rescue's....I am not getting at you personally here I am just fed up with people blaming their problem dogs on silly names when all it comes down to is lack of training. If you want to be a good dog owner then for heavens sake spend some time taking it to classes when it is a puppy.

I have six GIANT irish wolfhounds and none of them pull me...they all did training classes as puppies. It only takes a few weeks for both you and your dog to learn, then you don't have to waste money on all those silly gadgets.

Easy Walk dog harness by Premier. Couldn`t do without this for Freya, it works brilliantly. The lead attachment point is at the front, across the chest, so as the dog pulls it steers them sideways. Saves my arms being pulled out of their sockets. LOL

and that would have been done but I have a rescue dog who i took on at 2 years old when he already had his dog aggression created by 3 owners in a year and 1/2 and lack of socialisation.

my point is that not everyone has their dogs from puppyhood and is able to train them - some take on other peoples mess and have to deal with them the best way they can.

Also i believe that Buster and Bella are both rescues too so with all due respect our experiences are often different from those who raise their dogs from puppyhood.

The walkezee is my saviour and allows my rescue dog to get walked daily and comfortably for everyone concerned beside my son in his buggy - and due to his dog aggression he cannot be let offlead so he has to have a comfortable walking device for both me and him !!!

but i do take your point and know what you are saying. Particularly as you have irish wolfhounds and there is no walking harness in the world that would keep you on your feet with one of them if it was inclined to pull is there ???

a saddle would be the best case then huh ??
