Evening all - hope everyone had a good day - been busy this afternoon out and about with my chap, we've been building a couple of stiles on the far side of the moor as the old ones were getting a bit tatty following a summer of mis-use by the hiking morons that inhabit this part of the world. Actually they may not all be ours - on occasions I have seen them bus-in the deficient creatures. Please don't think me harsh as anyone can cheerfully trek across our place as long as they leave it as they found it. Sadly they seldom do! Dogs enjoyed their afternoon at least!
The Mem is off down to Wales for 4 or 5 days from sunday next - helping her mother with Xmas shopping etc. The nearest decent shopping town is Shrewsbury (45 miles distant) so the old girl needs a chauffeuse and bag carrier. The rest of her family are too idle to help her! So it falls to the Mem, who considers it a duty but equally a pleasure.
Caan't wait for dinner - absolutely starving.
See you all later - providing none of you have succumbed to the lurgies that seem to be rife currently, bye fer now.

As long as you do not go getting any of the lurgies floating about LG. We need you to keep healthy to keep our D.A.D. going. When you and Eileen disappear so do the D.A.D's postings. I purposely got up tonight to join in but everyone else seems to have done a Moyra on me by going to bed early! Hope I haven't put the jinx on things.

Been watching Corrie, been an excellent week this week. During the advert break on the last episode, my friend rang me, I near jumped out of my skin, we'd only been talking about it this afternoon and what we thought might happen, but it was totally not what we thought.
Just been to check girls and Zen is in bed, I did look more than once in case I'd somehow missed her. Went out to shut top doors and everyone stayed where they were, so she is either dead because she's stolen someone's bone once too often, or busy with a bone she's stolen

Well done, not just for the assembley, but also for being able to understand the instructions which I usually find have been written by some demented Chinese language student who has just failed his final exams

Yes why do people do it. My walk in Sapiston involves a meadow with a big iron gate, it has dropped a tad on it's hinges so one has to lift it an inch or so to get it on the latch. You would be amazed how many people just leave it open and recently a sheep got out. Now it's chained shut so no one can use the field, as always these days the moronic numpties have ruined the walk for the rest of us.

Haha, I am the worst for that Moyra just can't seem to keep my eyes open after ten pm

If the others have let her have a bone of theirs then you can be pretty sure it's an old one with almost no meat on it

Oh Harvey how I wish that were the case, she constantly walks a tightrope. She had chicken fillet with veg tonight, then an apple for afters. The others had a big meaty bone each. After I had finished clearing up and put fresh bedding out I let her out of the utility, within minutes she had Lona's tea and was in a corner with it, Lona looking down at her in bewilderment. I took the bone off her and gave it to Lona, who took it off with her. She has no fear, even though she gets at least one good telling off a day, and squeals like she is being murdered, next minute she is doing the same thing again
With it being bin day today I had cleared the majority of carefully secreted ancient bones, so they will be allowed to build up again until next week when I go to the tip, when I will clear them up again. I did offer Zen a selection of bones discarded from lunch, but they had little or no appeal to her
It was always drummed into me from being very young about closing gates and livestock, people don't seem to think ahead anymore, or even think at all in the main I am sure they see farm animals as a part of the general scenery and have no real clue as to what role they play, that they eat, move about and get killed very easily due to their ineptitude
