She's a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier

Tina is looking for a new home because her owners felt they could no longer cope with her snappy behaviour. Unfortunately Tina didn't receive the necessary training and socialisation a dog needs. She has learnt that by snapping, she gets her own way. A small terrier who thinks she's the size of a Rottie!

Tina can be left alone for up to 4 hours without problems. An extremely intelligent dog who is quick to learn, she will need an active life with an owner who will keep her physically and mentally stimulated, teaching her new tricks and commands to keep her active brain busy. Tina doesn't like strangers, if approached by someone she doesn't know she will bark and snap at them. She will need two hours of off-lead exercise in the park daily, wearing a muzzle and long-line in case she takes a particular dislike to someone or is approached by a stranger. She loves to play with soft toys, to roll around in wet grass, and to chase crows and pigeons in the park. She is sweet-natured and affectionate with people she knows and loves nothing more than curling up on her "persons" lap.

Sadly it seems Tina may have been hit and shouted at in the past and is now very nervous of loud noises, people arguing, newspaper, sticks, brooms and mops and will sometimes urinate if she feels threatened. Her new owner will need to spend time socialising her and building up her confidence and trust. Training classes will be essential. Her new owner will be patient, understanding, with a willingness to manage her behaviour. She needs an experienced owner or someone who has owned a snappy dog before. She can not be homed with children.

Tina is looking for a perfect new home, a home where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life.
