Those with multiple dogs

When you go out soupy leave them together or seperate them?
Personally I've always separated as have heard one Romany horror stories about coming back and finding they've had a nasty fight

I assume you have a couple of typos in your post?

To answer your question, I leave mine together. If my son's border terrier puppy comes to stay, he is crated, partly for his own protection (one of mine just about tolerates him) and partly for some peace for mine as he won't leave them alone.

Together. I have no option as if we had to leave them separate we would have to have given Remus back to the rescue organisation do to his separation anxiety. I've been called irresponsible on here doing that but the horror stories are really few and far between and it's up to each individual owner to decided which is best for their dogs. I believe mine benefit from the company of having someone to cuddle up next to. I don't leave chews or kongs with them because without a kong Remus settles better. With a kong he will finish it and then go on a trail of distruction, I presume because he is already stimulated.

I leave mine all loose in the house together but if I have a pup or a new dog it would be crated until I know everything would be ok .

Mine used to be left together without any incidents at all but one by one they reclaimed their crates and now I have a mixture of some crated individually from choice and some loose together roaming around.

I would add to my earlier post that mine are confined to the utility room.

My two have the run of the house and have done since they were a few weeks old. I've never had a problem as neither of them is chewy or destructive. When I get home I normally find they've spent most of their time sleeping on my bed.

i used to leave my old 2 together, i leave the lounge door open so if one has enough of playing etc then they can take themselves off to bed upstairs. Since i lost my 13 year old staffy and with the new pup i leave my older dog loose the pup is crated.... mainly so my older dog gets some peace.... i am going to have to rethink this though as she seems to get more worked up when she is crated and left... i am guessing as she can see my other dog but not get to him?
