Summer feeding and winter feeding

Do any of you change the amount of food you feed your dogs in summer and winter?

I'm not sure if it's breed specific, but Woody really looks scrawny in summer and chunkier in winter. Should I feed more in the summer because of this?

This pic in particular has me a little concerned:

He looks to be a good normal weight to me. You are probably noticing a bit more because you have had him clipped.

Definitely. Just wanted to check if anyone does it.

He looks like a cow in this pic, clipping really accentuates the markings!

I don't feed according to the seasons, more for judging by how the dog looks and activity level on day. On a more active day, give more, less active day, give less, etc. No science to it really.

He looks fine to me in that pic, not to thin at al, as already been said, he will look thinner because of the clip

Side note= why did you clip all his coat off??

As for feeding, no seasons dont dictate the amount of food I feed.

Bandit is always on the lean side, no matter how much I feed him, but we have to watch Millies weight a bit, so hers gets adjusted accordingly,

I think this is probably more the reason Pidge - its probably not so much about the seasons but what exercise he's doing. I'm guessing that Woody does a lot more swimming in the summer months?

Do you mean why didn't we leave feathers etc? No idea, that's just how my friend did it.

Thanks for all the comments guys, will leave him as is then.

He's actually exercised less in the summer, which is why I was wondering as Dorky's comment does make sense.

Although, he chases birds alot more in the summer ;o)
