Anyone use Skype?

Anyone on here use Skype to phone people or chat on the internet?

All my family use it and reckon the savings they ae making on their landlines is unbelievable.

I know Fred used to and think Ashlady does as well but I have never used it - not got any relatives to talk to anymore

Yes, I do. Started using it to talk to a certain DW lady, mainly to save the skin on my fingers!!! The skype headphones were only about £15 and the rest is free. Also talk to he who shall remain nameless (lived in the dog house )

Hi Rob, Skype is a programme you downlaod from the net that enables you to use your computer like a phone (but without the bill) you need a mic and headphones (or a proper skype handset) and someone to talk to - and that's it. It is free internationally so if you have friends / family abroad with a computer and broadband - you're sorted you can also use it to chat (type) like MSN

Yes I use Skype - its brilliant - you can chat all day and it doesn't cost a penny. You can also use a webcam which has been brilliant for showing new puppy owners their puppies growing! You can also have conferences of up to 5 people - but without the webcam. You can also use it the same as instant messenger. Strongly recommend it.

AND you can use it whilst doing other stuff on the puter, so your OH could be chatting to whoever whilst you are on DW
