BELLA

Passed her first KENNEL CLUB GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME Assessment.

The Puppy Foundation Assessment.

Im so proud of her. it might not seem much, but i have really had to force myself into going to the classes every week. Im a bit of a homebod, but weve made stage one and now im going to make myself get to the next stage with her.
SHE IS SO CLEVER , AND IM SO PROUD.

Well first of all i found an obedience class to take her to. A freind recomended.
then we had to attend each week for i hour. during this time we would be given a sheet with the evenings training on it. then we would be shown how to get our dogs to do something and clicker reward when theydo it. That means that as soon as the dog moves into the right position you clicker and treat immediatly, the dog soon works out that if its doing what you want it will be treated.
you practice each week at home and then at the end of six weeks you are tested to see if your dog understands the commands.
Bella had to do a few simple things on comand. which she did really well. so there for passing her first little exam.
Its very enjoyable and amazing how they learn. id recomend it to anyone who wants a close bond with their dog.

Thanx Everyone
This is the first time I have seen something through to the end. it may have only been six weeks, but it was hard work for me, a couple of times i nearly didnt go, including tonight, i phoned the women and said i was very busy, and then my daughter piped up dont worry i will take over the puppies, so i didnt have an excuse.
It has been hard work for both of us. i just hope i continue as it is now on a come if you can make it basis for further assessments.
