advice on pups moving

Hi all as you know Bonnie has 2 weeks to go :smt026 at what stage should i start to feel the pups move... she is a good size and i haven't tried to feel yet ..she dosen't really want to be hugged this week ...just wondered??? :P

It is lovely to feel the pups move for the first time. I have just reared a litter (time goes soooo quickly). I have a shorthaired breed so I could see them moving from around 6 weeks pregnant and it was a fair size litter. But if you know what you are feeling for you can feel them from around 4/5 weeks, it feels like the dog has wind and tiny bubbles are hitting your hand. My dogs like to lay on their back with legs in air so I can sit with my hand on their belly and they dont mind.

Have you got a copy of the "book of the bitch"..... it is invaluable when having a litter!

Depends on the dog. Sometimes you won't feel a thing till the momma is in active labor!
