Poor Irish Collies

This is the latest collie to come in, he's been kept in the most awful conditions & it just shows in his face.
He'll come out of his shell given time, but it's so sad that collies in Ireland re treated worse than vermin by farmers if they fail as cattle dogs, & yet when they go over to the UK thery shine in agility & are appreciated.

What a beautiful dog, with such a soulful expression. I do hope he finds a home where he will be loved and cherished.

I am lucky enough to have two doglets myself from rescue in Ireland, [ Limerick Animal Welfare ], then homed through wonderful Wiccaweys in UK, my Collie, Silk, and Collie x JRT, T`Akaya, [ yep an Agility home for them ].

The lovely lad in the photo will have light in his eyes when he realises not all humans are bad, and that he will be cherished by whomever is lucky enough to adopt him

Please do keep us posted on how he gets on

He's a lovely boy an I hope he gets the right home but have to say its very unfair to generalise. Not everyone in Ireland mistreats their dogs and not everyone in the UK appreciate them either. There are good and bad people everywhere and I know some wonderful owners of all breeds, collies and farmers included in Ireland.
