What are your views on ear cropping?

(----edited to say I'm totally against it- Don't worry I'm not planning to crop little Archie's ears!! )

I feel the same way about ear cropping as I feel about docking - that it is unecessary and cruel

Barbaric.

With regard to Docking, in certain working breeds it is advisable, though I personally would not take off more than 1/3rd leaving 2/3rds so it is not for breed requirements and show only for medical reasons and allows the dog to still flag with their tail.

This is when I'm glad I have a breed that nobody would consider mutilating for anything other than life-saving veterinary reasons.

Why get a dog, then mutilate it? If you didn't like the way it looked, you should have picked something else!!! Grrrrrrr!!!
