The most unique cattle I've ever seen!

I have no idea what they are. They look like longhorns with shorthorns! LOL I was out walking Oliver when I came across them in the field adjacent to the road we were walking on. They were kinda far away, so some of the pics suck, but here ya go:

Definitely beef of some sort (udders are small) anyone have any ideas? that is of course if any of you know anything about North American Breeds... I'm not hopeful However I spent a couple of hours googling and came up with a couple of possibilities, not to mention crossbreeds

I was looking at the white parks, and the one cow sure could be, but the others have too much colour, plus there was solid black calf, and that blond cow/calf

I was thinking more along the lines of http://www.pcrba.org/ but I am by no means an expert!

My grandparents ran 80 head of Herefords, and in Alberta, we see alot of Angus, Charolais, Simmental, Limousin, the aforementioned Hereford, and a few Shorthorn... I've even see Highland and Longhorns, not to mention the completely mixed commercial herds. But I've no idea what these are!

Right... Our best guess is Florida Cracker cattle... although what a herd is doing out of Florida is anyone's guess

Exactly!!! That's what I came up with too, The link on post 3 is that, well sorta, different name, but same thing. They're often lumped in together. but we're really far away from the southern US! I couldn't find anything on the internet of Alberta ranchers with them.

They're pretty awesome looking cows though!

There are ranchers here running herds of Longhorns, so It's not inconceivable that some would become interested in Crackers...
