Dogs and Christmas decorations

I just took Loki for a quick 'round the block' and he tried to go for someone's Christmas baby polar bear decoration in their garden. He then went carefully sniffing them - I think he thought they were real dogs.

How do other dogs react to decorations?

Well Figo thinks they are all there for his entertainment, I am spending my life at the moment, taking them off him

I remember our GSD puppy doing that. We had dented bells on the tree for many years.

Loki isn't too interested in the stuff in our house - just animal shapes in gardens.

Bella barks at any ornamental 'animal' - doorstops, figurines, the wooden elephant I've got (at first) but only if they are 'life sized'. Strangely takes no notice of them on telly at all.

It's just as well they don't move then because now I've seen what happens on your video when the other dog moves ...

My old GSD on the other hand - well she spent 3wks pirhouetting round the living room trying to pull down the garlands from the ceiling! Wore herself out and amused the kids no end. Those shiny ones that catch the light!

Mine passes no remarks Think she's long passed the stage of being surprised at anything in this house.Has taken to lying under the tree in the kitchen for some reason Try to put her off cause I'm afraid she'll get electrocuted but..she looks so cute under there

Bless him!

My lot have been surprisingly good except for one thing...
I put some tinsel around the edge of the table the tree was on, but Frodo thought it would look in tiny pieces all over the floor

Yep! Only dog I've known who leapt up and caught a bird flying across our garden too! And caught a cat chasing it across a park.

She thought the high pulley washing line was a dog toy too! Absolutely super dog we all still miss her. Loved all my dogs but she was special and grew up with my boys. Died when jen was 1yr old.
