Good comfy collar for long haired dog

can anyone recommend a collar that won't flatten a gsd's coat and that is strong enough for out on a walk. I normally take his collar off after a walk but thinking he should really have one on (not that he'd ever go anywhere!). I was thinking of a semi slip as it can then be loose when hes inside. Has anyone seen a fleece semi slip collar?

I use a very soft martingale-type collar on 4 of my 5 dogs. they're sold only at dog shows here, and are made to not break coat... works like a damn. Scout and Zoe never get matted around their collars anymore, even the rolled leather wore on Scout's fur, this one never does... However, this helps you none, as I cant remember their website. I'll try to google it!

I never leave a collar on in the house - it can get caught, especially if you have more than one dog.
My GSDs have always worn half-checks, which are loose enough not to damage the ruff.

Thanks for the links, will take a look and gorgeous pictures

I always leave a collar on my terrier in the house as we often need to grab him! They don't play together though.

Just found these too, that look good
