i must admit i don't like it much my oh said the same it's not really for young kids, the old one is much nicer, but i liked the bit with squirrels very funny.

Apparantly this one is closer to the way Roahl Dahl wrote it??
I remember seeing the trailer and thinking it was a bit weird but will go and see it just cos JD's in it! :smt049

Must add that Tim Burton did a fab job directing and it was rumoured that Rhoald Dahl would have preffered this version to the original.
Tim Burton has acheived success yet again IMO
