The train is so cheap ?

just booked some train tickets from here to Durham i am shocked only £16 each way thats cheaper than going by car plus i can doze on the trian

off to see my dog friends have been invited up for Border union so am really looking forward to some time away with those lovely Rabymar dogs
and it won;t break the bank either

I was really shocked how cheap it was .....I live near Portsmouth so its 5 hrs on the train last time i went to Newcastle i went Via London this time i have booked with one change at Southampton then straight up

Alex your right booking in advance you can get such cheap seats

OH works in ticket office at preston and he gets so many people moaning when they buy tickets just before travelling and it cost more than when they looked at the price 3 weeks ago!!! you can get preston to london for £15 if you book in advance!

when i go to Essex if i book in advance it costs me £12.50 return, and that is the underground too
but if i pay on the day or a couple of days before it is £112.00

gere Jackie thats a huge difference ....i know when i first looked it said £130 return then i looked for singles they worked out the best deal

they often do! if you nknow 2-3 weeks ahead what time and date you will be travelling you can get really cheap tickets...

oh Tells this to customers all the time but they just ignore him! and then moan when he tells them its £100 odd quid!

I didnt mind what time i travelled i asked when the cheap seats were and she fitted me in if in also avoiding weekends the first outbound train the 10.10am was £44 to Durham if i travel at 10.30 its £16

gives me more spending cash when i get there am staying 5 days

Yes Inca it makes going to see Sam so much cheaper, which means i can do it more often
