Our gardens

As we have the house open day next Saturday we have been busy trying to tidy up the gardens.

We live in a funny house, we've sort of got 4 gardens, two on each side of the house, as the house is split level we have two that are ground floor level and two that are 2nd floor level. Sounds weird and you have to see it to understand

Last year we had one side landscaped and paved ready for our wedding reception, the other side has been left just as it was when we bought the house 18 months ago. The bottom garden was totally slabbed and really dull, the top garden was tiny shingle that had sunk into the ground, covered in weeds and overgrown with rose bushes. We decided to tidy up the top garden and this is how it looks now. (Ignore the buckets, they have purple slate in that we are putting around the rose bushes tomorrow )

This is where you look down onto what was Leon's garden, it still needs tidying up, (and looks like my whirlygig is drunk ), but you can see how we can transform it into a little haven for Henry

This is the other side that we had done last summer, it has all settled in now and we have spent many happy hours out there

And finally, showing off the new double glazing

Thanks for looking

Wow it all looks great.
All you need now is some more good weather to sit out and take advantage of it

Thanks Jenny We bought a chimnea last year too and it's been great for barbecues as we can sit round it and keep warm too.

We will be sad to leave it now that we have it as we want it, but needs must

Beautiful Sheree! Sadly we could never dream of a garden like that, if Max doesn't dig it up then the chickens will... Hope that the open day goes well.x

Thanks ladies

I've never really had nice gardens before as the dogs all used to dig things up just as I'd planted them, and Clive never had the time to do anything, between us we have worked hard to get it into shape.

I don't think it will be in vain though, it may all help sell the house and we've learned a lot of new skills to put into good use wherever we end up

Garden looks lovely really good, best of luck with the open day.
Houses do appear to be selling now, hope the garden seals it for you.
