Awww that is really really sad - your neighbour must be absolutely devastated What a terrible thing to do, you would have thought the person who killed him would at least have tried to find out who he belonged to. My sisters dogs got out about this time last year and they all came back except one and we found out the day after he had been hit with a car and died instantly although the car driver was very good and had the decency to take his body to a local vets and thats how we found out where he was.

Im so sorry to hear whats happened. Its heartbreaking to know that someone can be so cruel to such an innocent thing. I hope whoever did it feels bad for what they did for a very long time

I thought it was illegal to hit a dog and not stop

I think poor Harvey lived in Spain and so the law is probably different to here.
