Virgin Media AGAIN!!!!!!

For the past week I've been unable to get into my web site builder, same thing happend last year where the chap I was talking to kindly deleted my whole web site without my permission. It's now happened again and I've contacted them 5 times and still no luck in sorting it out!!

Well it goes to show what they are like, today I had an e-mail from VM stating they are upgrading/maintenance on their system, just look at the date work will commence:-

Dear customer,
From time to time we need to undertake maintenance to our e-mail services
to ensure their smooth operation.
Our next scheduled maintenance work will commence from Monday 26th January
at 23:00 and run for up to 8 hours.
During this work you will not be able to access your Virgin Media e-mail
via your e-mail software (e.g. Outlook Express) or Webmail.
No e-mail will be lost as a result of this work, however you may experience
some short delays in receiving e-mails on the completion of this work.
For more information visit our Virgin Media service status page
http://status-cable.virginmedia.com/

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Regards,

I think this just about tells you all what they are like, just wish we could change suppliers but unfortunately we can't get Sky here

They've just got the month wrong, not sent it ages late as the 26th January wasn't a Monday, whereas tomorrow is!

Is there not an ombudsman you could speak to for advice? same as you do with telecom or utility companies?

I thought as I hadn't had a reply to my on-going problem, this proves how long it takes them to respond

Have you thought about BT? We have Broadband and Digital with them and have had no problems at all!

Of course that doesn't guarantee it'll be the same for you, but perhaps worth a thought?

12 days on and still no response from VM so I rang them, only to be told yes there is a problem with VM software for PWP.....this is where I lost it and told them the decent thing would have been just to let me know, especially as I had filled in the online fault report 7 times over the past 12 days and typically the free phone telephone number doesn't come into effect until the 1st June 2008, so we had to pay for the 25p a min call!!! I thought I had a virus or something as I couldn't get into my website.

Definitely time to start looking around for alternatives I think, we pay them over £100 a month for TV/Phone and Broadband plus I pay for the extra PWP space.
