When you do get your affix make sure that you pay your annual maintenance on time, they don't give you much time after the date it is due, if it expires you will have to re-apply at full cost £70.00. I have just had to do this!

The annual maintenance is £17.00 by direct debit.

I think you can check Affix names on line at the KC web site to see if the name you want is already taken. My affix was my 2nd choice.

As everyone else has said, think the time depends on the publication in the KG.
I did mine at Crufts a few years ago and was glad I did face to face we ended up going away and thinking about it a least four times (usually in the bar as we couldn't have any of the names we wanted.

well ive decided on new ruby because i couldnt really think of anything and then it popped into my head. its the name of my favourite chinese takeaway lol and i think it fits seeing as i have chinese cresteds if they wont let me have that one i will go driving round until i find a chinese that has a nice name and isnt taken lol

you can buy the book of affixes, it has all the taken names in it,

we did this before we got ours.
