Stroke? Seizure?/ (Shamus)

Shamus woke up flailing his legs just now and is unable to get up.
We`ve covered him up (he was wet from his walk).
Don`t think it`s a fit. But he seems really out of it.
Ideas on what to do?
Vet is PDSA and difficult to get to so first aid atm.

I am so sorry to read this about your dog - how frightening. My only advice would be to phone the vet and ask their advice for immediate first aid.

I do hope he makes a full recovery.

Agreed. Most vets will give a bit of guidance over the phone. Hope he's ok soon

Sounds a bit vestibular like but hard to tell. Hope he is OK.

If you can't get to a vet I'd keep him quiet and un stressed if poss. and out of the way of the others. See if he wants a drink.

Thinking of you.

I do hope that he is okay, and that you have managed to speak to a vet.

Fingers crossed here.

Could it be a slipped disc. Meg (no longer with me) couldn't get up one day. We had to carry her to the car and then to the vets, the vet thought it may be have been a slipped disc but it turned out to be really bad rheumatism that was totally spread over her whole body.

Claire, as all have said above I also hope you've been able to contact a vet over the phone and that Shamus is feeling a bit better. Will be thinking of you tonight.
