How is your dog at bath time.

Friend sent me one of those links of dogs who hate baths and commented I must have fun.

Sent him a vid of Mouse and bath time.
Got me thinking though as to how every one deals wit bath time and how much training they put in.

We bath Ben on our patio using buckets of hot water which we pass through our kitchen window and fill up a large storage box. We tie him to a hook on the wall and pour buckets of warm water over him to wet him and then shampoo in the usual way, then rinse with further buckets of hot water. Hal was lifted into our bath, but there is no way we could lift Ben, he is far too heavy! I did take him in Mum's wet room once and he tolerated that OK but prefers the patio option!

Never had a problem bathing any of mine, in the bath using the shower attachment and warm water. They all love a good massage but their favourite bit is being towelled dry.

Gwylim gets bathed at the groomer's when he goes to have his coat stripped which is every 10/12 weeks.

As Georgina always stays with him I usually ask our groomer if she'll give her a bath and trim her nails as well as it only costs me about £4 extra and saves me the effort and mess of cleaning up afterwards.

There's also method in my madness because to do them both gives me 3 hours to wander round the shops without worrying about the dogs!

My dog LOVES water! Even when I am bathing her sister, she always finds some way to jump in! They both love their time with the hairdryer (on warm) after their bath
