Jeanette - you might be thinking of the scientist Linus Pauling who was a great fan of vitamin C. He took huge amounts and died of prostate cancer in his 90's but he felt that the huge amounts he took delayed the onset.

But way back in the 70's he was saying that cancer patients would survive longer with vit C treatments.

Can Vit C tablets that I give to my son be given to my dogs? Or is it best for the food to contain it do you think?

But Did he pass away because of the cancer or of old age?
