I've learned the hard way about being super strict on ID. I once pierced a girl's tongue who I didn't ID but had 2 visible tattoos. Later on that afternoon I got an irate parent calling and demanding why I had pierced her 15yr old's tongue!

Can't understand the mentality in that myself...a piercing can be removed, and especially with the tongue it's not like you're going to have a visible scar!

Abbymum...navels DO take ages to heal, one of the reasons they aren't really suitable for most kids! As Mr Spock said, a year is quite common. The bar shouldn't be changed for MINIMUM 4 months.

With the tattoo I haven't decided to go for my own design or whether to go for the tribal heart and it'll prob be done on my thigh and I'm gonna get my nipple pierced

Several people I know have said that the nipple don't hurt when it's being pierced cos they numb it and tattoos don't hurt either if they are done on the 'fleshier' parts of the body lol

the only part of my nipple piercing that hurt was the clamp
the piercing i never felt at all
and none of my tatts hurt at all

Mmm maybe in that case then Jax I'll start practicing the clamp bit with clothes pegs for a few weeks, should be used to it by then lol
