Cheaper phone & internet provider?

Wondered if anyone could recommend a telephone and internet provider as our bills seem an awful lot of money.

We are with Virgin and pay round about £50 per month for our telephone and broadband. This seems a lot to me? We only really use the phone evenings and its supposed to be free calls after 6pm.

Anyone recommend a cheaper option?

I use Sky and have the full TV package, landline and calls and BB , the cost is 49 a month , think its one of the best value packages and BB is really reliable

Was going to ask the same thing, as I pay around that, but have the TV package too.

I'm more than happy with what I pay to Virgin, especially as I know with Virgin i'm actually getting decent 'fast' internet, unlike other companies lol

Not sure to be honest! Wouldn't want tv as part of package as have lots of freeview channels to watch.

Yes, that's what worries jamie-changing companies and getting very slow internet access.

Do you get a paper bill, or bill online?
Whichever you get should list exactly what you get for your money....

I have all 3 (tv/broadband/phone), and you get a discount for having all 3, so even the discount is listed on my bill.

Which internet speed do you have?

I have to agree with TomtheLurcher, when I lived in Worcester, I was using Sky for TV, Calls & BB, couldn't fault them at all.

I use BT at the moment for Calls & BB, costs me £41 a month and as usual, the "unlimited BB" isn't. Not happy, but tied into an 18 month contract to get free line installation!

I have BT for calls. Just checked last bill and it was £50.57 for 3 months.

I have Demon for BB. It has gone over to mainly business now though I think, so not sure if you can get it now. I pay £14.99 a month. I'm sure you can get cheaper, but they actually answer the phone when you have a problem, (and have even been known to call me back at work, at a specified time!), so I don't mind paying a bit more for great service
