BRILLIANT Elaine, well done to you and Westie_N.

Lets hope it at least gets some coverage. I can't believe it is still going on and in a place like that where the majority of customers have more money than sense.

Lets get a cute wee puppy for Christmas....yeah great and then what about for the next 10, 15 years...it makes me sick.

And what REPUTABLE breeder breeds a litter without having homes and without knowing where the pups are going. How does Siad REPUTABLE breeder get the pups back if anything goes wrong...or do you just take them back to Harrods for a flippin' refund So they can be sold on again

(sorry for all the Capital Letters but I am really angry!)

Some of you may know them in the breeding field, I dont coz I dont breed.
god well done Elaine!!

Perhaps the Bbc would be interested in doing another "exposed" on the breeders who provide for these stores with dogs and all the puppy shops and farms everywhere?

I think it may have been ginea pigs as well they were selling, not sure though. Couldn't face looking again, I just wanted out the store after I'd made my complaint.
I thought they had stopped selling.... I am sickened!!

There is a petition page on the Downing Street website. There is no petition there at the moment for this sort of thing, so if anyone wants to they can set one up. I'll sign of course.

My OH worked in Harrods 40 years ago - they sold puppies and lots of other livestock then - they always have done.

There have been many petitions and actions over the years but none have been successful.

The RSPCA will simply say that the animals are warm, dry and are fed. They will not get involved in anything these days as they are far too political.

Well, I think its cruel...

I don't suppose they are in immediate danger, I expect that they are fed and watered and warm, its just the psychological damage and the fact that they can be bought by anyone with more money than sense.

Think the papers are the way to go, publicise it. Or maybe a demo and hand out leaflets outside - I am up for that. Been a few years since I was moved along for demonstrating....

Not sure the tabloids will make a difference, not being funny but I don't expect the sort of people who would buy pups at harrods would read them. Perhaps the Torygraph or the Times? Would the sort of ignoramus who would buy dogs from Harrods actually care though?

Just some thoughts....
