although there are huge variations in the dogs you see but mostly I believe that to be down to bad and overbreeding.

This is so interesting!

Isn't it strange how some breeds have changed very little while others have become almost unrecognisable. And the ones that have changed look so much worst off physically.

the airedale doesnt look THAT different to me, just perhaps the hairstyle. both gorgeous and hardy looking, both appear to be able to do their job!

Don't mean to offend, but there's something about the build of that dog that reminds me of a hyena. I actually like hyena's, but not when I'm seeing it in a gsd.

Another recent pic, I think, still the difference in build between the first dog and the dogs in this pic is quite obvious to me.
