Lynn I am fuming and so is Charly.
There 2 clients in the waiting room when we were arguing with that other vet over the state of Lily and they were amazed at how rude that vet was to us. Even the receptionists sat there with their mouths wide open, shocked at what she said to us and how she sat there laughing at us for worrying about Lily being so distressed and in such a state..
This new vet is very experienced with greyhounds and has had two recently that have had strokes and been confirmed by scans. She said she would have never given vetergesic to a greyhound except perhaps at the start of an op, but never as treatment like that, as in an op the anesthetic helps them to sleep off the effects.
I will be writing to the owner of my old vets when we are over this, as over the years they have had thousands of pounds out of us and this is how we end up getting treated and spoken to and Lily has ended up like this and being shipped around all day because of their lack of care. I will also be taking a complaint about this individual vet to the governing body which I was given a link to earlier.
I wil never go back there, I can never trust them again.

God, how awful, you want to be abe to trust your vet when you need them the most.
Just noticed you are in Essex, sounds like my vets you are not in chelmsford are you?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your Lily.

Just caught up with this, poor, poor Lily

Give her the biggest of gentle hugs from me and know that I'm sending positive vibes to her as I type, bless her.

Fingers and everything else crossed that she quickly improves.

How did you get on today? I hope you went to the hospital to get yourself sorted out too as you won't be able to help Lily if you let your own health fail even though you think you are doing the right thing by putting her first. You can only help her over this if you are in good health too. xx

Hell you must be spitting nails ! I hope you get a result with your complaint, utterly disgraceful.

keeping everything crossed for Lily, animals can recover incredibly well from strokes, my ancient cat Polly had one at the age of 16, she's now 18 and fighting fit.
