Possible urinary tract infection?

Hello

Bo went to her dog sitters on Saturday for a overnight stay (we were out all day). When I collected her on Sunday, her sitter said she had been leaking urine. Sure enough, she was and is leaving small puddles after lying down. Her lady bits look a bit swollen and she is a bit more mopey than she normally is. She doesn't appear to be drinking or going out to urinate more than normal, but the wee I have seen her do is a bit cloudyish and has an abnormal smell to it.

Does this sound like a urinary infection?

We have a vet appointment for 3:30pm.

Thanks

An old yoghurt pot, cut the sides away on one side leaving a little cup/lip, slip under her whilst peeing

Woop woop, I have a sample! I know it will be a bit "old" by the time I get to the vets at 3:30 but I'm guessing it is better than nothing.

If I think any of my dogs have a UTI I always try for a first pee in the morning samply then drop it of at the vets as soon as they open wheather I have the dog with me or not [ as some times can not get the dog in due to comitments ] but will have them in ASP the same day and I dont have to wait any longer then I have to for the result[not that it takes long] I use a plaistic butter carton to collect easy for the boys and girls. no matter what u use make sure its clean and the bottle u put it in
