New owner

hello i just wanted to say hi am new to this sight and have joined I have recently brought a new siberian pup for my son to help fill a large void in our family after we lost one of our beloved labs, I was adamant I did not want another pup as I still had the sister of my lost lab.. she was pining so badly for her sister and refused to eat and spent months softly whining and would not settle. A trip tmy vets recommened a new friend for my lab, i was reluctant as I did not want her to feelthreatened in her safe enviroment with a new dog and was worried that she would feel pushed out as the top dog the vet recommened a pup so my lab could still retain her position in the family.. so I bit the bullet and brought after a lot of thought a siberian huskie as recommend as being good pack dogs... she has given my lab a new lease of life but it has not without its price the pup has been sick for a couple of months but hopefully is now on the road to recovery after a lot of vet bills and tender loving care from her new family.. so any tips would be much appreciated on giving our new huskie everything she may thrive on.. she already has unconditional love , lots of walks cuddles and now a solid diet...

thank you for your welcome... I know a siberian is very new to me I have had dogs allof my life and never strayed from labbies and border collies so I am very green with our new addition.. I have always had bitches..just personal preference I guess. Did not know about huskies and dodgy tums, trying to get a food balance has been a nightmare.. I am currently trying wet food rather than kibbles which appears to be working as long as it is not red meet.. breeder recommended kibble but she was poorly for a couple of weeks before the alarm bells hit thought it was just the norm new home , new faces and mummy not in sight.. turned out to be camplabacta (sorry spelling is not correct, but I am sure you understand) has been such a night mare antibiotics and coming very close tolosing her while she was on them they made her droplike a stone. Vet wants tocomplete a endoscopy which i feel is rather evasive for such a young pupso before i agree i want to try and get her on a balanced diet to rule out sensativity but I think you have just confirmed siberians and tums are a bit of an issue. She really is a beautiful looking darling and turns heads on every walk. (willpost a pic when I can workout how too ..lol) xx
