Gorden I can just see him on a revolving chair with a 12 bore.
Dad use to get them on his allotment and he tried everything without success and once said once you get them that's it. I won't tell him I think it will be safer to let him find out for himself.
They are annoying but to be honest the damage Dillon does to the lawn during the wet weather a mole or two is neither here nor there for us.

They have moles on the football field, they seem to come and go, at the moment there are lots of little mountains dotted around and girls go mad sniffing them

I told him that, his neighbour died a while back he always had them and Michael was so proud he had never had them. I said I reckon his neighbour has left them as a gift.
He use to help his neighbour and Michael said I thought he liked me.

Griff - I've actually had a pet mole! When I was a child I saved one from a grisly end by taking it off a farm cat. Had it for about 7 weeks. keeping it in an old galvanised water trough filled with potting compost - used to dig up earthworms for it every day. Not much fun to be honest - if you wanted to see it you had to pull out most of the compost. It was well recovered from it's ordeal and proved this by biting me every time I handled it. In the end I took it in a bucket and let it go in a big meadow. It dug it's way out of sight in no time - leaving me to walk home, carrying an empty bucket and feeling rather sad. In my 8 yr old mind I had cherished the thought of having a lifelong. little black, velvet friend. So, you see. I actually like them as well.

As LG gone quite tearful at that story, what a sweet child you were, and what happened
Only Zen kicked out tonight, escorted her back to bed, she couldn't go in herself because Kesh was completely filling the doorway, head hanging onto the rubber matting, I thought she was dead opened the bottom half of the stable door, Zen jumped in, checked a few times and not a sign of anyone. Stopped raining now, river levels have dropped thank goodness

June - I think the answer to that is "The world happened". You soon get to realise that you get nowhere quick being nice.
Are you going to have to build a new kennel system or do you think all will be sorted eventually once Zen has matured?
