We're all booked in

I've just booked Montys operation, still having ongoing discussions with the insurance but getting my boy sorted is number one priority now.

The specialist was lovely and incredibly helpful although I have to admit I'm a bit of a wuss - even just talking about it on the phone and discussing it has got me a bit upset and emotional. The thought of leaving him an hour away from home for a few days is horrible and I keep looking at his little face and feeling so guilty. I'm going to be a wreck the day I drop him off.

He's booked in for the 27th May so got a bit of time to get used to it and try not to worry about it.

Its not surprising you feel the way you do about it, but you know he will be in good hands and you know that the op is for the best.

We'll have to find plenty of ways to keep you busy on Dogsey while he is away.

(((HUGS)))

I'd be the same if it was one of my boys!

Do you want me to send Murphy down for a few days?

Thanks guys, thats what I love most about this site is that it's people who truly understand rather than those who say "it's just a dog" or "it'd be cheaper to have him put down"

Shelley - murphy is welcome any time but you know you'd miss him really!!

Awww, I know exactly how you feel, I get tearful just turning up at the vets with Leon these days, and the times I've had to leave him or any of the others I have made a right fool of myself.

You go ahead and cry those tears if it helps you, and I know it hurts you to look at him and know what you have planned...but remember that you are only putting him through it for his health and, had you known when he was a baby, you would have sorted it out a long time ago and he would have forgotten about it already.

I'm thinking of you all and sending you (((hugs))) to help you...Leon sends special spongey kisses too, (with a bit of slobber cos he can't help it ) Hopefully the time will whizz by and you and your darling boy can put it all behind you xxx

Oh mate. I know how hard this is going to be for you but you are doing the right thing and in a few months it will all be over and Monty won't have anymore nasties.

I'll be on hand to entertain you my little Pork Pie xx
