Have you tried Genes reunited. A branch of Friends reunited.
I went on there and started building a tree and was contacted by other unknown family members who can share their tree with you. You can chose whether to or not.
I dont think it is serious, but was a bit of fun. May be a start?

I belong to genes-reunited and the tree builder on there is excellent. Its only £7.50 a year and you can swap info with other members.

Have joined Genes reunited a while ago - I am now using post it stickers to get the tree sorted in my head
Frustating thing is one site which has been fantastic(although payment is involved) I can't remember my Log in details, have gone through procedure where they email info, but not receiving emails from them - have to wait til tomorrow when they are back at work!!!

The most frustating part of this Family search is ......the fact that parents named their children after themselves aaaahhhh!!!!!

I know. If you are a boy in my family, you are called either Tommy, Henry or Mark/y.
If you are a girl, your either Mary, Rosie or....well I think thats it...lol

This is driving me nuts, have found one instance where Father, Son & Grandson all same name and in same house - had to have a break from it yesterday as I was getting so confused walking around talking to myself with names and dates :smt017 :smt115
