Maroon-Bellied Conure

Hey,

I posted a thread about a new bird i picked up earlier. I managed to get some better pics of him so thought id post them up for anyone whos interested!

Here he is with mine in the background

Looking busy!

My little Conure Molly has had some problems since she lost her companion African grey in October so im hoping having a bird similar to her will help, as well as giving him a home which is always good as they were having trouble rehoming him!! he's a very cute little bird though!

Jackie - My house is starting to look full... And will look even fuller when i start picking up unwanted birds for Birdline again! lol Why did you have to move Pico out?! And did you manage to sort everything out with the parakeet ok in the end?

Katyb - I've still not thought of a name! My mum really wants to call him mac, which certainly goes with the bird name theme of M's (Molly and Magic are my two other birds) but im still not sure. I think he's quite old so he must have had a name at some point... Its a shame he cant say it like Magic can, would make everything so much easier as i HATE choosing bird names!! It takes me ages... lol!

Oooh, i bet Pico and Ollie love having an aviary to themselves! I though you meant Pico had been bad and had been banished from the aviary or something

Im glad to hear the parakeet has a nice new home and is settling in! It must be nice to get the regular pics too as i could tell you wanted a nice home for her and to make sure she was going to be look after

Birdline is always looking for more members! The bigger the charity gets the more birds they can help i guess! Im probably going to take the new conure along to some of the shows with Magic so if you go to any you can meet 'Mac' too! I cant wait to go to the shows again... All those pretty birdies to play with... Its so much fun!lol

Very nice bird.

I just read an article in Bark magazine in which an African Grey began to feed a Vizla tidbits out of it's (bird) bowl. Apparently the owners were quite surprised that they got on so well...the Vizla being a bird dog and all. Is it unusually for dogs and birds to get along?
