its a maisonette so have someone above us. Is it expensive to buy the freehold?

As we are buying, the inside of the house has nothing to do with the landlord, infact it doesnt matter to him if we can never sell the house cos of the dog as we own it, but its still leasehold cos of the neighbour upstairs.

fingers crossed, am going to phone tomorrow and chase it up.....

we live in an upper villa - which i suppose is similar to maisonette, but we own the land garden etc - and the neighbour downstairs owns his land /garden etc - must be different in england??
