KB's lose weight and get fit thread

Today, I completed my RAF Reserve application form, so I now need to get my self as fit as possible for the process to begin properly.

So today, I am going to get myself a swimming membership, and I am having a complete diet overhall. Tonight after walking the mutts, I am going to go for a run (yes, I know!)

I currently weigh 12 stone 3 I am only 5'4

want to get down to around 9 stone ish

And am as about as fit, as a dead goldfish...so need to shift my lardy **** and get motivated.

I hope, people do not mind, but I am planning on using their as a bit of a diary and updating thingy...

I am also on a weight loss mission, fancy some moral support?

I lost some earlier in the year bit put most of it back on over summer. I am now setting myself the very harsh goal of loosing 100 pounds by christmas. I know its a tall order but if I dont do it this way then I will never do it.

Have been back on it since friday and ive lost 6 and a half pounds so far

Good luck!

Good luck.

I'd recommend you take 3 pics of yourself in your gym gear beforehand. One from front, back and side. Not for public consumption, just for you.
Also take measurements. After a month do the same. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I would go with measurements over the scales as well. You'll be putting on muscle. The scales wont tell you how much you are toning up.

I've been going to a boot camp in conjunction with a new heathier way of eating. My confidence levels are def up. Food wise everything is made from scratch, and none of the usual naughty stuff.

You are allowed a baby cheat and a daddy cheat once a week so im honestly enjoying the food and dont feel deprived. Takes a bit more preparation, sundays in my house are for batch cooking and freezing so that meals during the week are available, less likely to cheat that way.

I have got a week booked off, and I intend to do a big batch cooking session. My big problem is going to be Alex...I dont want to deprive him of his snacks/treats (we are starting Potty training...Magic Stars rule!) so learning not to pinch a Star/button, and leaving the cup cakes alone at work

I am going to do it, I have wanted to join the RAF since I was 15. I cant do it full time because of my commitments, but I am going to give this my best shot

If you haven't already got any, get some dumbbells to help strength.

And for doing a bit of cardio whenever you've got a few minutes, a hula hoop or skipping rope is great fun! Also, if you put on your favourite up-beat music and bounce on one of those mini bouncer things, you can use up a few calories in an enjoyable way!
