How long is he away for, Lynn?
4 months initially to set up a project over there. Popping home for Christmas and the odd weekend. If the project works and he likes it and they like him he will get the chance of a years contract.
He says they are a good organisation to be in with as they have jobs all over Europe and some in the UK too so worth getting your feet under the table.

Now that makes Gorden's success in getting the job well worthwhile! My BIL started working with an organisation like that in England, who then transferred the whole family [him, my sister and their four young sons] to Antwerp, and from there they were transferred to the US.

Three times he [with the family] was transferred to different States, each time with him earning more and more, until he could afford to take early retirement.

So hearty congratulations to Gorden, with all best wishes for a good future with them!

How exciting, what a great opportunity, not only obviously to improve your finances but to learn about another culture.

FAB.

Thank you Malka I won't be travelling if the chance arises not while we have Dillon. Funny thing is the job he was made redundant from was initially a 6 month contract and lasted 12 years. He climbed the ladder there and got a lot of experience under his belt. Lets hope this is the same.

When he use to work in the gifted and talented field as an associate tutor for Oxford Brookes he was away a week at a time sometimes. It does make the heart grow fonder.

Wow fantastic! What an opportunity, good on you both!

I keep willing my hubby to go away to work and double his salary. He's going to Aberdeen to work for a measly week soon, pfft - rubbish!

Good luck to him and keep us updated, it will be like being a single woman again, amazing
