I use a half-check. It`s loose enough to sit at the base of the ruff and it gets chucked in the washing machine when it`s mucky.
Daisy`s is pink with teeny skulls on it.

All my dogs are longhaired (including two longhaired sheps) and they all wear rolled leather collars from John Humphris. I have had no problems at all with them.
