Dog walk- Calling East Anglian People!

Just wondered if anyone in the Essex, Suffolk, Herts, Kent, London regions would like to meet up? Myself and Lynn thought it may be a nice idea to get together

I was thinking a date end of April or beggining of May.

My ideas for possible places to walk are:
  • Hylands House/Park
  • Great Notely Country Park
  • Hatfield Forest

I know the above are fairly easy to access via the A12/A130, with good car parking. Although if anyone has another place feel free to suggest.

I'm definitely up for it so is Gorden. No dog at the moment but it would be nice to meet up with some others who could make it and meet you and your dogs.

Any of those places are good for us.

Sounds like fun!!

I'd love to bring Dexter and maybe Lucky, my friend's Lab that I look after sometimes.

I won't drive on the A12, but I think I can get to Great Notley without driving on there.
Or this way we have Highwoods Country Park, Or some lovely walks through woods and over furze hills at Manningtree. There is also cafe and toilets there too.
Or we have Frinton/Walton beach.
I think most of you are more Chelmsford/Harlow/Southend way so don't rule it round me and my silliness in where I can drive, just make sure you all take plenty of pics.

Can you not get the train to Brentwood? Then taxi or lift - the Country Park is 5 mins from station.
(That`s what I`ll do).

I hate driving on the A12 (and avoid it if possible lol), but I drive back routes avoiding A12 towards Tiptree/Colchester from Chelmsford. If we did meet in Brentwood you could:

From Lexden area (which I think is Colchester way?) you can drive down Maldon road, past Tiptree all the way to Maldon & Danbury (A414), and then through Chelmsford (Past Hylands House), through Ingatestone (the road B1002 from Ingatestone runs pretty much next to A12) into Brentwood.

Or take A120, then A131 through Great Leighs onto the A130. Once you hit Chelmsford, again through Ingatestone and follow road all the way down to Brentwood.

Or train from Colchester to Shenfield/Brentwood and get a lift/taxi which is probably easier that my rubbish explanations
