If an owner wants to use one then they should put it round their own neck first.

Yes they should be Banned

They are cruel and so unnecessary, they should try them on themselves before putting one on a dog.

I agree with last speaker. In Norway option 2 is reality. Doesn't seem to work though. I once met a lady with a setter who had a shock collar because he didn't come on recall...

What voltage is the shock? Does anyone know? Last year my boy accidentally touched an electric fence used to keep livestock in. He screamed and screamed until it made me cry. When I asked about it I was told it was 12V but I don't know this. Me and all the other dog walkers now keep our dogs on leads until we have passed it.
