Very lucky chickens! Mine have recently taken to roaming around work during the day, it's providing no end of amusement to the staff that I get stalked by chickens...

I hope you enjoy having them

P.S You can train a great recall in to them! Mine are better than my dogs at coming when called.

Wow that's impressive! We have immigrant workers here who do not live in such splendour. Well done. Your other half must be very pleased with you!

When I said I 'built' it - I meant I put it together - the various bits were bought already made.

My 'own' builds are far more rustic looking

Anyway - Karen is in charge of getting the chucks over the next week or so. I think they will be her job and I'll have the pup to deal with

Wow, what an amazing home your have built for the 'lucky' chickens

My neighbours have chickens who they bought from a battery farm. Within such a short time their feathers had grown back and they have wonderful life now - their coop is nothing like as grand yours (but hers do roam around when they are there to supervise).

Fantastic job you've done - now we'll all await photos of the new residence when you have them.

Oh that's great When my friend got hers a few years ago they had to take a minimum of three which suited her fine. They are gorgeous looking now, in spite of looking terrible when they first arrived. They are real characters and wonder around the neighbours garden and on the grass verges. A constant source of amusement to us all and they are so friendly. The weird thing is that my dogs will chase cats given half the chance, but have never chased the chickens - they just walk past them pretending not to see them
