Mind, the dogs wash me in their spit so I don't know what is worse?!

thanks for that! well i have 4 spitty kitties and i love them dearly. having said that, i would not want one of their wild cousins in my home and certainly i would not want a wolf. cats and dogs are domesticated. clue is in the d word.

claireandaisy you have given me a great idea for a new topic of conversation. thank you!

there are lots of animals I would love but they are just not supposed to be pets
Dogs have been bred for a long time to want to be with humans, to want to work with us and have contact with us
its not just socalisation they are totaly different from wolves
I wouldnt want one, and if I had one it would not be right to keep it as a pet, it is a wild animal and cant be made into a happy dog just cos we would like the idea

AFAIK many experts have tried this and had the wolves turn on them

But no way do I want an animal as a pet that dosent want to be with me

Hear hear My childhood fantasies were of befriending or rescuing a wild animal and have it be my soulmate and protector... a wolf, a lion or a wild stallion that nobody else could tame!

Now I'm grown up I know that dogs are probably as near as we can realistically get to that... funny how people don't think that's enough.
