mussel soup

3/4 pint of mussels
one small chopped onion
1 and 1/2 pint cold water
2oz butter
1oz flour
1/4 pint of cream
salt and pepper
dill


wash the mussels
put the mussels and chopped onion
in a dry frying pan and heat until shells open
shell and beard the mussels
In a saucepan
melt butter and add flour
heat until blended
remove from heat and stir in water
and onion and any liquid from the frying pan
add salt and pepper and a little dill
bring to boil and simmer for ten mins
remove from heat and add mussels and cream and serve
with bread of your choice.

quicker way to do it is buy the mussel meat cooked lol
