Nobody told me I had made a big boo boo on the 3rd only put the clock back a month. I thought I was seeing things! Do you think someone in the supervisors can amend it. Hate it to get our history wrong. Hope you are all having a good day, I went down to the opticians and paid for the rest of my glasses £423 in all diabolical. I think I shall be looking elsewhere in future. I have been with them for donkey years but this is getting ridiculous. I know my lenses are expensive but that's ridiculous.

Good afternoon all.

Overcast and so very, very cold this morning.

Which opticians do you use, Moyra? I use Boots and mine were about half that amount (varifocals and reactolite). Mind the frames were in the cheap range (£70), but the 25% old codgers discount does make a big difference

My problem is the opticians I use are local and a private set up with about four shops scattered about. I think I might try Boots or Specsavers next time. I have to go to Specsavers for my driving licence requirements every three years. So I might go to them.

Yes Lynn. Last years glasses were £470 odd but included sun sensitive these did not. I think they are taking the micky out me. It's a lot of money if they are going to be good for a twelve month. Definitely need to go elsewhere. Just that is was local and handy but not at that cost.

That's probably how they work Moyra local and a loyal customer base especially if older people use them.
Would pay to shop around, some of the companies do home visiting now I think.

Afternoon all.

Been to work and knackered now, my friend is still in hospital nausea they are not sure if because due to the surgery she has had to stop the steroids but have put her back on and on a low dose which they will then slowly withdraw her from. They would have weaned her off but this has been such a "rush" from diagnosis to op. Ah well at least she get to have the rice pudding she says she adores it LOL

Gerts foot loads better.

Cold so put heating on I think because I am tired but a good tired ie work wise.
