The dogs don't care and it's really cool!

Alas, Dahlia is all black so it would be hard to do anything to her!

There are numerous photos online of dyed and clipped dogs, looking like all sorts of things for the extreme grooming competition in america...

But the japanese/chinese trend to dye the dog to look like another animal.. I just cant decide if it is the coolest or the cruelest thing .. It doesn't hurt the dogs and they are mostly breeds who must go through grooming anyway..

Cool?

Or Cruel?

As long as the dog doesn't mind the dying and clipping process and as long as they use non-toxic dyes, I don't think it's cruel at all.

I find it weird and can't imagine ever doing it to my dog, but I don't think there's anything really cruel about doing it.

I think it looks amazing and as long as the animals are ok then thats fine, but I like the way my dogs look so I will leave them just as they are

People have done it with cats too - and in that case I do think it's cruel, but with dogs? I think not, given the provisos stated above by others and especially if the dog is used to regular grooming.

I find the giant panda very appealing!
